About Us
The
Early Childhood Learning Center of Greene County (ECLC) is a private,
non-profit program chartered by the NYS Board of Regents to provide
the following programs to children from birth to five years old
(up to school age):
- ECLC operates all Head
Start programs in Greene County. Head Start is a federally funded
program for income eligible three and four year olds.
- Special education and therapy
services through the Committee on Preschool Special Education
(CPSE) to three and four year old children such as multi-disciplinary
evaluations, counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy,
special education itinerant teacher, and center-based classes
in an inclusive setting for children with developmental delays
(5 hours per day). These services are available to
those children who qualify based on a delay in development as
determined by the CPSE committee and may be provided in the home,
nursery school, or center-based classroom programs in Head Start
depending on the child's needs.
- Early intervention services
for children in Greene County from birth to three years of age
encompassing: multi-disciplinary evaluations, counseling, occupational
therapy, physical therapy, special education services and speech
therapy. These services are available to those who qualify based
on a delay in development as determined by early intervention.
The services may be provided in the home, nursery school, or Head
Start Program.
