Multi-Disciplinary Evaluations

If you are concerned about your child's development, you can request an evaluation performed to determine if your child's development is age appropriate or not. The Early Intervention Program provides multi-disciplinary evaluations at no cost to children from infancy to three years of age. In Greene County call the Early Intervention Official at 518-719-3617 or (in any other county) call 1-800-522-5006, 24-hour hotline at NYS "Growing Up Healthy." They will provide you with information on how to obtain an evaluation at your earliest convenience.

For children between three to five years old, the evaluation request must go to the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) of the school district in which you live. Contact the CPSE Chairperson of your district and tell them that you are interested in having your preschool child evaluated or call us at 518-622-8382 or 1-800-318-7717 (only usable in Greene County) and we can assist you in making the referral.
